a great sense of satisfaction filled me at 10pm today.. but why is it 10pm and not other timing was because, it was during this time that i did some reflections as i walked home after playing bball.. the session was great as i played with complete strangers and yes, i performed fairly well, gaining applause from the other teams and people who were watching.. the feeling was "SONG" wahaha but i am not that good.. just that today i performed better than any other days =D and i'm glad to have made some new frens at the court~ hope to play with them again~

am not thinking much now cos i'm pretty tired le.. so that explains the short entry and no reflections of my thoughts this time!! will be penning down my thoughts and feelings in the next entry then~

Somebody asked me what i meant by having an empty brain? shouldnt the brain of people in sg today be filled to the brim? its good to have an empty brain cos nowadays people have so much things in their brain that it usually results in headaches and over-stress, she added..

having heard these questions, i thought it would be good if i share some of my opinions regarding this "filling up of brain" issue...

i do not deny the fact that the brains of people in sg nowadays are filled to the brim.. in fact, we are all trying to squeeze more things into the "already-overflowing" brain.. just take a look at all those kids out there.. they start picking up skills and attending classes for ballet, english, piano (the list just goes on and on) at an age as young as 2 years old! i dun even know what was i doing at the age of 2 lor.. how ridiculous to stress out a child at that age.. even he/she does not know what stress is.. the poor kids just have to learn and learn whatever their parents send them for..

i do not blame the children for feeling stressed.. instead, the real culprit behind all these are the parents! kiasu-ism is simply getting overboard.. how can a parent not send his/her child to extra classes when all parents around them are doing so?

in my opinion, parents are simply "spoiling" the market lor.. for example, if 1 parent sends his/her child to extra english or maths lessons and that particular child excels and do so much better than the rest in the same class.. other parents would then be comparing their child's result against the one that scores the highest and ta-da... thats it for the poor child.....

competition in sg is simply too strong.. everything has got to have a grade, ranking, scores etc.. however, it is also such competition that makes sg develop so quickly than compared to the neighboring countries.. IF i was the government, i would be so happy to see it thou... unfortunately, i am a citizen and i feel that the kids are rather pitiful to be singaporeans..

talking about brains, it was after serious consideration that i concluded my brain felt empty.. i still can think, but i dun think i am using it as much as i ought to and i feel its such a pity cos i wasnt trained that way.. i grew up in places and environment where my brain have to twist and turn very quickly.. but in recent years, it seems like it is deteriorating.. my memory is failing me as well.. one such classic example is even if i put a bag in front of the door so that i will remember to bring it along when i go out, i still can forget about it lor!

i think the proper appropriate phase to give a gist of the above would be: my available heuristics are lesser than compared to b4.. i just cant find better ways to access my heuristics and schemas easily.. and i think thats sad, because it would definitely make me much more knowledgable rather than what i am now...

as i read back on what i have typed, i noticed 2 very promiment words that we always use everyday, namely, "i" and "me".. i suddenly remembered what one of my lecturers taught about these 2 words.. so perhaps, i would just let your mind work a little by asking u to fill in the blanks with some words (eg. happy) to describe you..

1. I am _____.
2. This is me, i am _____.

differences revealed in next post!! time for bath and dinner.. went bballing just now and am super hungry now...

its been a long time! long time since i posted anything here.. its not that i had nothing to say.. but the very last time i tried to write something, my com actually gave up on me and closed the explorer automatically.. how sad to see even the com shuts down on me!! several other times, i deleted what i wrote after reading it again.. too political i thought.. so, i found the easiest way out by bottling everything in my small small heart..

as usual, life's all about working to pay off your bills.. here i get my salary.. and the very next moment, out it goes to bill payment.. used to be a motivated worker in the officer.. but now, i am a worker needing motivation.. 8 - 5 is simply sick enough.. not that i cant get used to it.. i know i am great at adapting to the environment and changes.. but an 8 - 5 job is simply not my styLe.. enough complains of the stupid 8-5 job.. i'm getting sick n tired even as i complain about it..

of late, i realised that i cannot think as fast or as much as i used to.. is it signs of aging? i do not know, but it feels like whenever i have something to ponder over, i just cant do it.. giving it some thoughts, it feels as if part of my brain is dead and i cant help but feel that its so empty inside.. several times i wondered if i can feel it if i passed electrical shocks thru it? well, not that i am at the level of craziness to try it, its just a casual thought because......

its the exam week!! and i am just not putting enough effort to try to secure at least B or C grades for both my papers.. 100 mcq should not be tough, but after experiencing it today, fear for the next paper, somehow began growing inside my heart already.. i am not the worse of the lot thou.. i have 2 other classmates who has 2 more papers to go ahaha let's hope for the best!!

been waiting for a year or so to go for a trip with my gf.. but somehow or rather, its either she's too busy with her personal stuff, or i cant make it.. so this time round, she left for sz for a week.. and without me!! "sad" was the word i thought best described my feelings ever since she decided to go without me.. but nevertheless, let's hope she enjoyed her trip and cleared some of the items in her wishlist written in a roll of toilet paper~ haha cos its long enough to put in everything i suppose?

just a joke. dun take it too seriously.

you, of all people, should know i dun mind a laugh or 2.. afterall, smiling and laughing has always been my hobby since BIRTH... however, this does not mean that i cannot be serious ok.. i am serious when dealing with serious business, its just that people dun find me serious cos of my stupid un-serious face, thats all~

oh and btw, the following question seems to be the next upcoming frequently asked question in the office......

"WHY SO SERIOUS!?"

ahahaha.........
